Champ Ruby

5:45 PM at The Bandroom

Champ Ruby are a four-piece indie-rock band from Melbourne’s northeast, comprised of high school mates Will Trigila, Daniel Williamson, Damian Mangone and Julian Lauretta.

Playing shows around Melbourne and opening for the likes of Didirri, The Grogans, Seaweed on Sticks, and Good Sniff, Champ Ruby have spent the last few years honing in on their musical craft, gaining experience on stages across the state.
Their debut single ‘She Said’ was released on triple j Unearthed on 14 August, 2020 - in the midst of a COVID-19 lockdown in Melbourne. Within a week of its release it scored radio play on triple j and climbed to 2nd place on the overall triple j Unearthed charts and 1st place on the indie charts.

Now, the genre-defying act are back with a new single, dubbed ‘Afterthoughts’.
Singer Will Trigila says: “Afterthoughts is one big reflection about an old relationship, after a period of time… we hope people connect with this song and it helps them reflect on past experiences they mightn’t have been prepared to confront and process before.”

From 5:45 PM at The Bandroom, look forward to a set that oozes both smooth and insane!
